Dhaka, Bangladesh has discarded plastic water bottles lining the edges of every street and filling every river. It’s crazy. Water bottles can be made into 3D print filament using a commercially available machine priced at $500. This company would design a cheaper version of this machine and sell it to poor families in Dhaka, then buy the filament from them and sell it to their Chinese neighbors, who consume lots of 3D print filament. The goal is to give employment to poor Bangladeshi people, clean up the trash on the streets of Dhaka, and sell inexpensive filament to hobbyists and 3D print shops.
